Hydrotherapy for Dogs

Hydrotherapy provides a non-weight bearing form of exercise in a specially designed heated pool, measuring 7mtrs x 4mtrs; heated to a minimum temperature of 29°C. The heating of the pool aids in providing comfort, relaxation, and pain relief. In addition, hydrotherapy provides excellent therapy for dogs in need of careful rehabilitation after injury or those suffering with general orthopaedic conditions. The size of our hydrotherapy pool enables dogs to come for fitness & feel good swims too.

Laser Therapy and Stance Analyser

Laser treatments can help speed up healing, strengthen muscle and tissue, improve mobility and enhance your dog's overall quality of life almost immediately.  Laser treatment for dogs applies deep-penetrating light to promote a chain of chemical reactions known as photobiostimulation. Pain relief is provided by reducing the inflammation through vasodilation and also by activating the lymphatic drainage system, thus draining swollen areas. The lasers also stimulate nerve cells that block pain signals from being transmitted to the brain, thereby decreasing nerve sensitivity. Because there is less inflammation, less swelling and an interruption of pain signals to the brain, the dog will experience less pain. Laser treatments for dogs also stimulate the production of high levels of naturally-produced endorphins which further counteract  your dog's pain.

PMFT

Pulsing Electro Magnetic Fields influence cell behaviour by inducing electrical changes around and within the cell. Improved blood supply increases the oxygen pressure, activating and regenerating cells. Improved calcium transport increases absorption of calcium in bones and improves the quality of cartilage in joints.  The application of pulsed magnetic fields has been shown to help the body to restore normal potentials at an accelerated rate, thus aiding the healing of most wounds and reducing swelling faster.  Pain reduction is another area in which pulsed electromagnetic therapy has been shown to be very effective.
